Having received pedagogical education from the leading institutions and teachers of our time, Jon is both passionate and enthusiastic about teaching cello. He is a Suzuki certified instructor, having completed training in Books 1 - 6. He is a regular coach for the Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestra (CSYO) and the Youth Orchestra of Charlotte (YOC), and he offers lessons to students of all levels and ages from his home studio in Uptown Charlotte. Curriculum is customized based on initial skill-level and goals. Instruction will include technique, musicality, music theory and history, ear training, and performance practice. Online instruction is also available as a supplement to in-person lessons.
