Studio Policies

My Responsibilities:

I will teach your child the technique of playing the cello and the language of music! I strive to cultivate a positive and enthusiastic environment to foster success. Curriculum will be individually tailored to the student’s level and learning needs.

Student and Family Responsibilities:

Students are expected to show up ready to learn! This means being punctual, well-prepared, and with required instruction books. Consistent, daily practice is a necessity to improve and is expected. Purchase of required instruction materials will be necessary to study with Dr. Lewis.

Scheduling and Payment Policies:

  1. Lessons are generally scheduled for a semester at a time. It is understandable that conflicts may arise. Lessons for the upcoming month are confirmed at the start of that month.

  2. All lessons for the entire month are paid for at the start of the first lesson of that month. Payment may be made by Cash (preferred), Zelle, Paypal, Venmo, or personal check.

  3. A 24-hour courtesy notice is required to reschedule a lesson. Inside of this 24-hour period, rescheduling a lesson is at the discretion of Dr. Lewis. A lesson may be rescheduled to the next month, in which case no payment will be due for that lesson. Refunds are not given for cancelled or missed lesson.

  4. Lessons start and end on time. Lesson times cannot be extended due to a late arrival.
